Measurement and Verification to IPMVP Option B, Included as Standard

Savings quantified to IPMVP Option B, included as standard. The deployed strategy is checked remotely against the BMS record, and drift is flagged without a site visit.

A plant energy baseline you can defend

Every engagement builds a plant energy baseline model valid for M&V to IPMVP Option B, Retrofit Isolation, calibrated to ASHRAE Guideline 14. Every savings forecast is tested against it after twelve months.

Verification is twelve months of metered energy against the weather and load adjusted baseline, suitable for reporting and utility submission. With legacy optimisation, M&V is third-party billable, if it is done at all. Here it is included as standard.

Remote controls validation

After your incumbent contractor implements the functional description, remote witnessing confirms the plant is running the strategy as written. From then on, the deployed strategy is checked remotely against the BMS record, and drift is flagged without a site visit.

Exergenics does not write to the BMS and does not connect to plant control. All work is remote and air-gapped.

Mechanical baselines

Equipment performance models

Chiller, pump and cooling tower performance models built from the site’s own trend data.

Mechanical baselines

Runtime per cycle, cycles per day and short-cycling ratio, reported alongside energy.

Equipment degradation monitoring

Where API integration exists, the model also tracks:

Chiller COP degradation
Cooling tower heat rejection degradation
Pump efficiency degradation

Frequently asked questions

Can we buy M&V on its own?

Yes. Measurement and Verification is available standalone, or each year after the first year included in Full Optimisation.

How are savings verified?

Against a weather and load adjusted baseline, to IPMVP Option B, Retrofit Isolation, with the baseline calibrated to ASHRAE Guideline 14.

What trend data must we keep?

Chiller optimisation points at 15-minute intervals or better, retained for at least three years.
